A 30ml vial contains 25 cryptolaemus montouzieri adults with a paper feeding strip. Cryptoleaemus adults and larve are predators of mealybugs (Pseudococcus sp), important pests of indoor plants, which may also appear in ICM and organic salad crop production. It is a Coccinellid predator which is used in southern europe where it is naturally endemic, for the control of mealybug pests on citrus and other tree crops. In northern Europe it has been used commonly for release onto indoor ornamental plants as a population regulator for mealybugs. The large white cottony larve of Cryptolaemus should not be confused with its host, which also has hairs and a creamy white colour.
